Modern expressionist artist, Maciej Cieśla (1988) lives and works in Poland. He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw (2013) and studied under the supervision of Piotr Błażejewski. Maciej holds a MA degree in painting and sculpture.
One of Cieśla’s main themes is the relationship between women and men. In the background of his paintings, mythological, symbolic, or folkloric elements combine; exploring this dynamic. He shows an ironic approach to evil characters. In his artistic universe, women can be evil and meanwhile, masculine demons purport violence and a lack of respect, restrain, and empathy.
Maciej Cieśla’s work is included in gallery collections in Poland, Germany, and Canada, and his talent is recognized by an increasing number of art professionals.
