Artists inspire us
Have you ever been inspired by an artwork? Touched emotionally, just by looking at art? Have you ever noticed how murals can uplift an entire neighborhood? Through their art, artists have the ability to inspire us. To gently encourage us to be more creative in our thinking and look at the world a little differently. More positive, at times provocative, or just evoking a smile. Through their paintings, drawings, sculptures or installations, they share their vision of the world with us. How they see it, and what inspires them to create.
This holds true for all artists and is especially valid for the artists that are part of San Francisco based Creativity Explored (CE). CE is a non-profit organization, providing artists with developmental disabilities the means to create and share their work with their community. Creativity Explored celebrates the power of art to change the lives of their artists. And while doing so, lift people’s spirits in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Try it ART’s mission
Besides offering easy and affordable access to original art, Try it ART’s mission is to make a difference in each local art community where they display art. Following that mission, Try it ART organizes this charity event in San Francisco during their “Taste of the World” group exhibition. No wonder Try it ART chose Creativity Explored to be the beneficiary of their charity event in San Francisco.
“Art on a Postcard” charity event
This “ART on a Postcard” charity art event features small, postcard-sized artworks, generously donated by professional and amateur artists from around the world, including the San Francisco Bay Area. Additionally, artists from Creativity Explored will donate their postcard-sized artworks in support of their cause. These special donations will be displayed alongside the artworks of the other artists.
This is how it works:
Each registered artist donates one or more small 7”x6” or 6”x7” artworks for the “Art on a Postcard” event. It offers them a unique opportunity to share their art, support the art community, and have their work on display in San Francisco. Try it ART will reward the generous artists by featuring them in their regular social media postings (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Google+). This will create some well-deserved online and social media exposure for the contributing artists leading up-to and for the duration of the event. Artworks not sold during the exhibition will be available for sale at https://gallery44.art
Full proceeds benefitting Creativity Explored
Proceeds from this fundraiser go towards Creativity Explored. Each purchase of a donated artwork helps CE buy art supplies, provide studio workspace, offer art outings in the community, mount exhibitions in their gallery, and create many other opportunities for artists with developmental disabilities.
